To support the interdisciplinary research, Universitas Diponegoro supports research with physical facilities including by establishing number of research groups, equipment and infrastructures.

The facilities are:

1. Research group/CoE and pusat penelitian

Some research  groups and centre of excellence are established in order to facilitate the interdisciplinary research.

• Center of Biomass and renewable energy 
  This group consists of expertise in the area of biotechnology, biology, physic, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science related to renewable energy.

• Pusat Penelitian Lingkungan Hidup
  This center is purposed to study the environmental impacts and its managements. The subject involved in this center are environmental engineering, environmental sciences, chemist, biology, chemical engineering, physic, etc

• Pusat Kajian Mitigasi Bencana dan Rehabilitasi Pesisir (PKMBRP) UNDIP 
  This center is established to study the mitigation and rehabilitation due to disaster especially for coastal area. The experts involved in this center are marine sciences, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, etc

• Center of Green Infrastructure Resilience and Development (C-Greinde) 
  This is a research center for waste management and innovation in green infrastructure. The experts involved are urban planning, civil engineering, environmental sciences, etc

• Sustainability Development Goals Center (SDGs Center)
  It was established to study the implementation of SDGs in Indonesia developments. The expert involved are marine sciences, biology, food technology, health sciences, engineering etc

• Marine Science Technopark (MSTP)
  The main research center at Jepara Kampus with specialization of marine science research. However, this facilities can be sued for other programs and disciplines

2. Laboratories

Number of laboratories are available in Universitas Diponegoro to facilitate staff and student doing interdisciplinary research

• Central laboratories
  This laboratory consists of advanced analysis equipment to support analysis. The facility has been used for staff and student from all faculties/school in Undip.

• Kawasan hutan dengan tujuan khusus (KHDTK) 
  This forest with area of 100 Ha was intended to be used as a field laboratory for research in the area of conservation, bioenergy, plant growth, etc.
• Other laboratories with enable to support interdisciplinary research
  This can be assessed via: https://labterpadu.undip.ac.id/riset-grup/. In each faculty/school, laboratories are also available to support the research and can be accessed for staffs from other faculties/school.
