Administrative Support for Interdisciplinary Research

Universitas Diponegoro always commits to enhance the interdisciplinary research as stated by our statue decree No 52 Year 2015 The establishment of Chapter 2, Article No 34 (3). (https://mil.pasca.undip.ac.id/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Statuta-Universitas-Diponegoro.pdf). Research conducted in Universitas Diponegoro is in the type of monodisciplinary, multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research.

To support the smooth running of all researches including interdisciplinary research, Diponegoro University consistently provides administrative support. This support is under the coordination of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Cooperation and Public Communication.

  1. Project and Research Management

For project and research management in Universitas Diponegoro is under of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM Undip). This unit also has a function to manage research funds obtained from internal and external sources. The task of LPPM Undip is to carry out administrative functions by call of proposals, conducting selections as well as do monitoring and evaluation. Source of fundings which handled by LPPM UNDIP are:

  • Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan/LPDP) In addition,
  • Directorate of Research, Ministry of Research, Sains, Technology and Higher Education
  • Internal Fundings by Universitas diponegoro
  • Collaboration with Industries

LPPM also assists researchers in reporting their research funds.

In Faculties/Schools that manage internal research funds and external cooperation schemes supported by a research office unit (Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat, UPPM) tasked with assisting administratively in managing the research. The research office at the Faculty/School actively coordinates with LPPM Undip to report research results and outputs.

  1. Technology transfer and commercialization

To support administration in innovation and down-streaming with industry, Undip has established a directorate of innovation and industrial cooperation. This unit is tasked with communicating the results of staff’ research to industry partners. This unit has also responsibility with assisting staffs in patent and copyright registration, as well as conducting training to increase the capacity of staffs in writing patents and copyrights.   1. Ethic committee

To facilitate the interdisciplinary research, Universitas Diponegoro also formed a ethic committee to navigate the ethics approvals process and ensure the research compliance with regulation. This committee has a task to review research which involve human subjects, animals, or other sensitive areas.

  1. Publication services

Currently Universitas Diponegoro manages 109 scientific journals and 7 among them are already indexed by Scopus, while the rest is accredited by national accreditation by ministry. The link: https://ejournal.undip.ac.id
